Today marks the reopening of Windmill Market at 15341 Livernois, between the John C Lodge Fwy and north of Fenkell. A parade will be held starting at 11am marching down Livernois to the market.

At noon Occupy Detroit has been welcomed to hold our 70th general assembly with those in attendance at the market easily able to participate. There will be many announcements made, upcoming events discussed, and proposals to be presented.This assembly follows on last week’s assembly held at West Chicago and Appoline and is the result of dedicated Occupy Detroit members working on outreach into the communities of Detroit. The interest in these meetings is to get to know the real issues in the city. When we can grow to understand each other we can discover solutions to problems easier, have a good time with our neighbors, and grow in spirit together.
The people united are the hope for a brighter future and learning how to forge ahead in tough times.
