Important Announcement to Future Stops for the Caravan
The Occupy Caravan and the National Gathering are requesting you make FOOD DONATIONS to the Occupy Caravan so we can bring ALL OF IT to Philadelphia to feed the homeless in defiance of Mayor Nutter’s new ordinance that makes it a crime to feed the hungry!!!! ( yes – unbelievably heartless, but true). The original caravan idea came from a founder in the group who was HOMELESS AND HUNGRY at the time… and Occupy fed and uplifted him… and now he’s back in the workforce.
Occupy has the heart our politicians have forsaken. Occupy will be there for you brothers and sisters, families, students and hungry war vets! Shame on anyone who tries to stop us! Shame on those who mock us… our cause… or who think NOT caring for the disadvantaged is wiser somehow than love. We’d rather be fools for love… than wise for any other reason.
Occupy National Gathering is from June 30 – July 4 in Philadelphia.
Occupy Caravan began June 11 spreading across the nation with a common destination, bringing love, care, and support to Philadelphia during the Occupy National Gathering.
So PROUDLY we will feed the homeless in direct defiance of Mayor Nutter! The mayor has never felt the whole body pains of hunger and the profound depression associated with homelessness or hunger. We pray he never does. We wouldn’t wish that on our worst enemy. We demand he reverse his decision immediately. WE WILL NOT RELENT ON THIS! Occupy WILL NEVER BACK DOWN ON THIS! If you support us in this please deliver food to the Occupy Caravan stop nearest you or HAND deliver it yourself to Philly with us! Feel the profound blessing you can only get from feeding someone in true need.
