Primary Election: Tuesday, August 7
If you value your right to vote, and believe your vote matters, you should vote on August 7th. And if you want to be well-informed when you get to the polls, you can do pretty well with the Detroit Free Press Voter’s Guide.
Their endorsements are worth a look too, especially if you know nothing about a specific race or the candidates (like circuit courts that often have numerous candidates with similar qualifications) — Free Press endorsements include bios of each candidate, and a reasonable explanation for the endorsement. You may not agree, but it’s a good place to start.
